🏡 PLEASE CHECK IN ON YOUR NEIGHBOURS ❤️
At our recent Ongar Tidy Towns meeting, we discussed something that is just as important as keeping our community clean and tidy — looking out for one another.
We recently became aware that one of our neighbours is living with cancer, and we were more than happy to offer our support and see if there was anything we could do to help.
It reminded us that sometimes, a simple "How are you?" can mean so much.
We all lead busy lives, but taking a few minutes to knock on a neighbour's door, have a chat, make a phone call or offer a helping hand can make a real difference.
❤️ Maybe an older neighbour needs help with the shopping.
❤️ Maybe someone is living alone.
❤️ Maybe someone is going through a difficult time.
❤️ Or perhaps they simply need someone to have a chat with.
You don't have to do anything extraordinary. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
If you or someone you know is struggling and needs additional support, please consider reaching out to a trusted family member, friend, GP or appropriate local support service. Nobody should feel that they have to face difficult times alone.
Let's make Ongar not only a cleaner and greener community, but a kinder, friendlier and more connected one.
👉 This week, why not check in on a neighbour?
Say hello. Have a chat. Ask how they're doing.
You never know how much that small gesture might mean. ❤️
