Do you love Ongar? So do we! At Ongar Tidy Towns, we believe our village isn’t just a place to live – it’s a community worth caring for, protecting, and celebrating. That’s why we come together as volunteers to keep Ongar clean, green, and beautiful for everyone who lives here, works here, and visits.

Volunteering with Ongar Tidy Towns is about more than picking up litter or planting flowers (though we do plenty of that too!). It’s about being part of something bigger – a movement that builds pride, friendship, and connection. Every project, big or small, makes a visible difference, and every volunteer helps shape Ongar’s future.

💡 How can you get involved?
You don’t need any special skills or a huge amount of free time – just a willingness to help. Some of our volunteers give a few hours each month, others join in weekly, and some help only when they can. Every bit counts. Whether it’s:

• Taking part in a clean-up,

• Helping us plant and water flowerbeds,

• Painting railings, benches, or fences,

• Spreading the word about our projects,

• Or even just suggesting ideas for new improvements…
